Stir fried noodles with meat, egg, bean sprouts and crushed peanuts
Sweet potato noodles stir fried in sesame oil with vegetables, sliced beef and soy sauce
These noodles were tough and chewy, and the sauce was exceedingly sweet.
Stir fried rice vermicelli with meat, bok choy, soy sauce and curry powder
Laksa Noodle Soup
Coconut curry noodle soup with meat and vegetables
An average laksa that was overloaded with onion.
Despite the name being ‘Pho and Thai’ this place actually offered a range of Asian cuisines, and was completely staffed by Koreans. Food was passable, service was average and the atmosphere laid-back with orders taken at the counter.

4 Seasons Combination Laksa
Curry Chicken with steamed rice
I was expecting amazing laksa seeing as this restaurant has ‘laksa’ in its name, but it was merely okay so I was a bit disappointed. Service was friendly and the place was small and simple.

Kolo Mee Special
Soft handmade noodles served with minced pork, BBQ pork and prawns. The regular serving was rather sizeable so I can only imagine what a large serving is like.
Rice vermicelli served with omelette strips, fish cake, chicken breast, prawns, bean sprouts and laksa gravy. The fragrant curry-like soup had a unique peppery taste, with a tinge of sourness. The first couple of bites were terrific but I soon felt that the heavy oil content was too much for me.
Simple no frills chicken that was well seasoned and deliciously crispy.
Kitchen Inn’s latest branch has many things going for it: a good location, efficient service, an extensive menu, generous serving sizes, cheap prices, and cuisine that is still fairly uncommon in Melbourne. And it is because of these things that I will very likely return to Kitchen Inn to sample more of their menu. Fingers crossed that whatever I order won’t leave me feeling bloated until the next day again.

Lohbak – spiced chicken mince and carrot wrapped in fried bean curd skin (that was very salty), served with a mild sweet chilli sauce = Not bad
Curry laksa – egg and rice noodles with bean curd, fishcake, fresh crunchy green beans and pieces of chicken. I could not get enough of this! Best curry laksa that I’ve had in Melbourne so far! = Excellent
Great atmosphere, friendly service, amazing laksa. So I came here with a few girlfriends and after we had each ordered a bowl of laksa, we all agreed that it was better here than at Laksa King (sorry Laksa King). So if you are a fan of laksa (like I am), come and give this place a go (and let me know what you think).
